

INGREDIENTS:
2 cloves Garlic
2 small shallots
1 carrot peeled
2 stalks of celery
1 1/2 Tbsp butter or sunflower oil (20g)
1 1/2 cups red or green lentils, well rinsed
40 ounces water or broth ( I use 1 cup broth and the rest water)
1 tsp salt
1 pinch of fresh parsley
Optional: 1/4 lb cooked chicken, diced (113 g)

1) Place garlic and shallots in Thermomix and chop 5 sec at speed 7
2) Add 1 carrot and 2 stalks celery 7 sec at speed 4.5
3) Add 1 tbs butter or 20 g oil and saute 3 min/120C/speed 1.
4) Add liquids (1 cup chicken broth and water to total 40 oz liquid)
5) Add the rinsed lentils.
6) Cook for 8 min (or until boiling) Veroma reverse speed 1.5
7) Reduce heat to 90°C and cook for 25 mins on reverse speed 2.
8) Optional: Add cooked, diced chicken.
9) Blend for 5 sec on speed 6
